What kids do
- Point the camera at a cloud and tap Scan.
- Nancy the bunny guesses what the cloud looks like — a dinosaur? a rocket? a slice of pizza?
- Kids pick the matching shape to score points and build a streak.
- Every scan teaches a fun fact about the shape they found.
What parents get
- COPPA-compliant. Designed for children under 13.
- No ads, no third-party trackers, no social features, no chat.
- No accounts. Profiles live on the device.
- Sun-detection warns kids not to look at the sun.
- Parental gate for settings and external links.
- Photos are analyzed by AI and then discarded — not stored, not used for training.
How the AI works
Each scan is sent over HTTPS to Anthropic's Claude API, which returns a description and shape guesses. Per Anthropic's API terms, API inputs are not used to train their models. Spottle itself does not store scan photos on any server.
