End User License Agreement
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is between you (the parent or legal guardian accepting on behalf of a child user, or you as an adult user) and the Spottle team ("we", "us"). It supplements Apple's standard Licensed Application EULA and our Terms of Service.
1. License grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Spottle on Apple devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use by you and members of your household. You may not sublicense, rent, sell, or distribute the app.
2. Parental consent (required for users under 13)
If the user is under 13, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept this EULA, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. By creating a child profile in the app, you confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you are giving verifiable parental consent, as required by COPPA, for the limited on-device data handling described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Restrictions
- No reverse engineering, decompilation, or disassembly except to the extent permitted by law.
- No extraction or use of API keys, tokens, prompts, or model output outside of normal app use.
- No use of the app or its AI features in a way that violates Anthropic's Usage Policies.
- No removal of copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
- No use to develop a competing product or service.
4. AI-generated content
Spottle uses a third-party large language model (Anthropic's Claude) to describe the shapes your child sees in a cloud. Output is fictional and imaginative and is provided for entertainment. It is not advice, education certification, or a factual claim. Do not rely on it for any decision that matters.
5. Age appropriateness
We have designed Spottle for kids ages 4–13 and have gated scan responses and prompts to avoid adult content, violence, or inappropriate material. However, AI systems can occasionally produce unexpected output. If you encounter anything that is not appropriate for a children's product, please report it to support@spottle.app.
6. Updates
We may release updates, bug fixes, or new versions of Spottle. Your license extends to those updates on the same terms. We may require a minimum version for continued access to the AI features so we can maintain security and content safety.
7. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you fail to comply with its terms. On termination you must stop using the app and delete it from your devices. Sections intended to survive (ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, governing law) will survive termination.
8. Disclaimer and limits of liability
Spottle is provided "AS IS". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. See the Terms of Service for full detail.
9. Consumer rights
Nothing in this EULA limits your statutory rights as a consumer in your jurisdiction.
